About This Quote

In this quote, Kari is describing the epic love between a Valkyrie and a man named Torvaldr. In the story, all of Torvaldr's family is killed by demons. His wife and son are killed in front of him, leaving only his daughter alive. He has a farm and a family to take care of and a life to live, but he knows that he must go to war to avenge his family.

He asks Kari if she will go with him to stop the demons from taking over the world. She replies that no force in heaven or earth can stop her from going. She says that there is no force in heaven or earth above, not even the damned of Hell can stop relentless love.

In other words, no matter how many times you fall from your horse or die in battle, as long as you keep getting up and fighting for what you believe in, nothing can stop you from accomplishing your goal.
